It has been 6 years and now Mob's journey has over. It was one hell of a ride. I will surely miss this one.

When I first started the first season, I wouldn't have thought a gag anime about psychics would have come this far. The strength of this show is the characters. All of them have their own unique charm. Moreover, the character development game is strong in this one. Not only Mob, Dimple, Serizawa, Ritsu, etc. All the main casts have their own development that further strengthens their existence in the show. I can't really find any character that I hate. Gotta give a prop to ONE for creating this colorful and lovable cast.

Talking about characters, Reigen and Tsubomi are my favorites so far; especially Reigen. He has the biggest character development that, arguably, might even be bigger than Mob. I didn't like him at all in episode 1 but now I don't think Mob Psycho would come this far without him.

And, that's it. This show is a solid 9/10 anime. The moment the first season's ED came out I was teary a bit but it's time to say goodbye now.

Veldora • 1 year ago

Reigen is the best character. At start, he's not too likeable, but he becomes a favourite.

Nemesis Claus • 1 year ago

so does Dimple. He has come from a long way... first he was a cult leader and now of trustworthy friend willing to sacrifice his god powers for his friend

RIZER • 1 year ago

Reigen's confession in this episode could tear through any man's heart. The way be told mob everything and the way he told mob to accept himself....
Poor Mob got rejected.... So we go Gym now! xD

I'm already want more of it! But it's the end T^T
Arigatou One-Sensei for this Masterpiece.

Kirito • 1 year ago

Mob being happy at the end is so good to see because he finally accepted himself and we have never seen mob laugh like this

Damn mob psycho is complete now?! Alright lol.

Started as masterpiece, continued as masterpiece, ended as mid...
Thats the journey of Mob Psycho 100.

Kirito • 1 year ago

I did not expected that I would get attached to this anime I thought it was just some psychic anime turns out it became special to my heart I love mob psycho 100

go1 • 1 year ago

Relatable, until the dimple arc i thought of it as masterpiece, thats when it went downhill for me and i was as angry as the mob from 11th episode.
Psychic fun fact about energies in real life telekinesis, with same rules subconsciously anime made their appearance:
Red - attention
Black - evilness or devouring away all the energy(including light)
Moving Rainbow - chaotic energy that clashes with each other and refuses to unite

Nate Higgers • 1 year ago

It had a nice ending for the characters.

go1 • 1 year ago

Characters? Wholesome ending for sure, but the entire season was mid.

Haha, the term mid is like a meme by now. You're basically telling us that you didn't watch this show without actually saying it.

*looks at you upvoting yourself*
Nice try,Reigen Arataka.

So you say i wasnt there when Dimple got rekt by the broccoli?
So you say i wasnt there when weird alien ark happened?
So you say i wasnt there when mob wasnt like his usual self in past 2 seasons but was transformed in to a wussy?
So you say i wasnt there when mob angrily walked to tsubomi only to get rejected and cry like a wussy?
So you say i wasnt there when they all became MLP friendship is magic and the anime ended?
My point still stands: this season is mid.

Yamate senpai itaiii • 6 months ago

This season was the best season, your literary crying because mob refused to fight and no flashy animation for you to enjoy. Go watch MHA or something bro

go1 • 5 months ago

I'd rather rip and tear your kindred until it is done.

Black0Syndicate • 1 year ago

I'm glad someone said it. This season was very lackluster compared to the previous 2. ESPECIALLY for it to be the final smh.

Kirito • 1 year ago

When mob heard dimple said the shirt of mob was lame, I really thought mob will get angry but he said thanks dimple for telling the truth. That's the moment I realized that dimple is a real friend

Seosamh Wray • 1 year ago

There's something to admire about a man who can bullshit his way through through this many encounters with the supernatural. He may be a fraud but that level of bullshit isn't an easy thing to accomplish.

Kirito • 1 year ago

He's been lying for years but this time he finally told the truth

Goosie🦆 • 1 year ago

I've always liked him, though. But you're right, he's not just the best character but one of the best characters in all anime/manga I've encountered.

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

Kinda disappointed 1 thing at the end because Mob hasn't use his power at all to show that now he co-exist with and fully accepted himself. From the beginning it was always he holding himself back to use his power. I was thinking that he would use his power to save the cat to show that symbolism because the show was about Mob accepting himself.

seburu • 1 year ago

i see this development as him not relying on his powers for everything like he used to. The old him would have just used his powers to get the cat down from the pole.

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

True but the main point is to accept and co-exist with his power, to accept himself. The reason ???% was manifested was because he wanted to be normal and leave his power behind. I'm just talking about it would be a good symbolism that he's no longer scare of using his power anymore because his true self is Mob + psychic power.

watdefok • 1 year ago

The plot is not about Mob accepting his power, he has been using his power for the whole series. It is about him dealing with his "Psyche", that's why he always keeps emotions in check symbolized by the countdowns.

The only reason he almost lost to the organization boss is because he keeps his power, which is amplified by emotions, in check.

"???" and Mob's other forms are just him showing his emotions. After accepting that they are part of him, you can see in the ending that he is more energetic and not holding back when showing his emotions.

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

The same thing can be said with his emotion. He has been showing his emotion for the entire series and at the same time suppress his power by trying to suppress his emotion. The whole reason Mob created his other persona was to keep his power in check. Accepting his power = to accept everything include his bad side else as well. Not using his power at all is like he avoid of using his power, his other self. Even this recent incident might make himself hate his power even more but everything cleared out. I'm just saying that it would be better if he used his power at the end to show that he really co-exist with ???% even thought he knew he did.

Nocokepepsi • 1 year ago

I think it was to co-exist with his emotions not so much his powers.

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

Why did you think it's not so much about his power? The whole reason that ???% exists was because he tried to suppress his emotion due to he tried to suppress his use of power and to prevent the same incident of his use of power in Retsu incident. He despised that side of him.

Եօʍօվɑ • 1 year ago

The last laugh already showed that Mob accepted ???%. In this matter accepting ???% would make Mob a normal cherrful guy. He became gloomy and unable show his emotion through early episode beacuse he was unable to accept and was afraid of ???%. In this case accepting ???% leads mob to express himself more because he was no longer afraid. this doesnt mean he has to use his power everywhere because accepting is one thing conrolling is other.

Kirito • 1 year ago

Hey at least mob and tsubomi are talking in the phone after mob got reject because she doesn't know mob that well and tsubomi seriously waited for mob even with that tornado heading to her that girl is so nice

Kelvin Goh • 1 year ago

The real issue here, is the enemy whom he can't defeat, was himself, so no one can fight him, including Suzuki, but the only plot hole here, is some of the villain characters didn't return, to atone or taking opportunity for it, like the closed eye character, who ran off after being punched repeated by Reigen and insulted by Mob, and the Spirit whom Dimple had fear the most.

chuk_TwaT • 1 year ago

also the girls that mob helped, the pink hair and the one who got possessed by the powerful evil spirit. I thought they're going to be back cause the last time we saw them was they're thinking about mob and showing a little interest on mob.

Moon Rock • 1 year ago

Ever since the ritsu incident when he was child, I thought he stopped relying on his powers.

Why would he rely on his powers after the ritsu incident? It doesn't make sense

JDC • 1 year ago

it wasnt mainly the powers its alll about the emotion. Mob throughout the series didnt really cry or LMAO'd like he did in the ending.

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

But the whole reason ???% exists was because of his power which lead him to suppressed his emotion. Accepting his power equal to accepting himself include his use of emotion. And he did cried in some other episodes if i remembered correctly.

Leah Tsumidzuki • 1 year ago

You got that in reverse. The reason ???% exists is because Mob started suppressing his emotions, which is tied to his power. As we've seen in the flashbacks, Mob always showed his emotions. Consequently back then, ???% didn't exist.

Shadow • 1 year ago

His power is tied to his emotions. He didn't want to use his powers for himself, only using it for others. The stronger his emotions, the stronger the output. He has been restraining his emotions to restrain his powers. After accepting his emotions, he can now live and grow as a normal person despite having powers.

He's still not gonna use his powers for selfish reasons, he's not gonna rely on it do long ashe can physically accomplish the task he need to do. This is done so he can live as a normal person.

Narby • 1 year ago

I think it's him who used his power to save the cake, hence why he laugh the hardest. Not only he can co-exist with the power but also being grateful that he has it.

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

If you look at the hand gesture of the character you would know it was not Mob but i might be wrong.

World of Bagged • 1 year ago

The manga made it clear that it was Mob.
The anime made it more subtle for some reason.

Kirito • 1 year ago

I think when that kid said living normal is much better than using their power is much better

Zero • 1 year ago

He did use his poweres to stop the cake (it was a bit clearer in the manga). Notice how Reigen says, "Who did that?".

VPCLOVE • 1 year ago

Him not using his powers was a symbolism, that he doesn't need to use them for everything. Since he accepted himself completely, he was no longer weak and getting tired or anemic anymore. He's stronger as a person, that is why he able to keep up in the body improvement club. Also, he uses his powers in the beginning for simple things because he was weak physically, now he no longer weak.

Moon Rock • 1 year ago

I was thinking the same and now am confused.

Can someone explain what the "other" mob was?

I thought it was a symbolism of his power and emotion.

kos177013 • 1 year ago

I think that the other mob is actually all of mob's emotions which mob tried to restrain in order to prevent himself from being emotional and hurting someone with his powers (like how he hurt ritsu). after mob reconnects with his other part he regains the ability to express his emotions

Hevensdragon • 1 year ago

You are correct that it is both his emotions and powers. What you are seeing in the comments were everyone saying it was his emotions they are all forgetting what his powers are. The powers are not just made stronger with emotions they are created by them. Do to the incident as a kid he was traumatized by his powers and stopped using them to do things he could do without them, so the bare minimum. And to keep them from going out of control he cut off his emotions to make them more manageable. Emotions and powers were always linked, so yes he accepted both. But then this ending didn't really show that well, instead he is now healthier physically, which doesn't really make sense, sure he is mentally healthier, and that does lead a decent amount of physical health, but despite accepting his powers he is using them even less, he has caught a dropped drink before, so why not the cake, why not use the powers to fly up to the cat. This ending didn't really depict what it was trying to directly and instead he got physically healthy to depict that he was healthy now.

World of Bagged • 1 year ago

The anime did not make it explicit, but the manga clearly shows that Mob used his powers to make the cake fly up Reigen's face.

The anime made it a bit more subtle (look closely and you'll see the cake levitating a bit from the floor), but the main takeaway here is that Mob is now so comfortable with using his powers to pull a dumb prank on Reigen.

Old Mob will think this is an irresponsible misuse of his powers. New Mob learns that it is alright to have fun with them every now and then. His powers are a part of his identity, so why be a prude about it all the time?

IStandAlone Roronoa Zoro • 1 year ago

The other Mob seemed to be an amalgam of all the negative emotions Mob has been holding inside for the duration of this season (or the entire anime). His vessel for holding them in must have finally broke with that car accident, not to mention that bitch Tsubomi only added to his pressure bcs she had to graduate and he was not even sure if she was going to accept dating him or not. It was painful that she still rejected him, despite he went through so much just for the guts to confess to him! She could have at least appreciated his guts and give him a shot! :'(

Bottling up feelings of disrespect and anxiety can cause a break into your emotional system. Like a glass of water gushing out bcs f the excessive amounts of water pouring over it. Not to mention, Mob has been going through major improvements this season and nobody around him seemed to cheer him on in confessing to Tsubomi or change the way they treat Mob, which added to his emotions, causing them to gush out all at once.

Lori Konosuna >.< • 1 year ago

Very good points made, however sometimes it is better to be rejected. If she gave him a chance despite not feeling the same way; that would very likely hurt Mob even more in the long run. By honestly rejecting him, I'd say it sets him free.
